Terms of Service
General
- Clients will be informed of terms. No client is exempt from following the ToS.
- Terms of Service may be adjusted at any time without notice.
- A 100% accurate match is not guaranteed. Closest approximation to match a client's provided reference will be attempted.
- All work is handmade and bespoke. Human error and small flaws which do not affect function or longevity of the product should be expected.Payment
- All transactions/payments will be conducted via PayPal invoices/Goods & Services, without exception.
- Artist not obligated to provide a product unless invoiced cost (item+shipping) has been paid. Payment by client is to be provided before work may begin.Estimated Time of Completion
- All custom products have a variable time for fulfillment. Deadlines are not possible. Expect a completion time of between 3 to 12 months from start to end date of your project.Communication
- Concerns, questions, and specifications must be provided to the artist in a timely manner to prevent delay or pause on a project.
- Communication will typically be available, but not guaranteed, between 6 PM and 2 AM UTC-8. Clients may expect responses to business-related inquiries within 48 hours.
Shipping
- Maelstrom SeaWorks is not responsible for shipping delays or damages caused by a shipping service.
- Shipments will be insured based on estimated value.
- Tracking number will be provided after package has shipped out.Adjustments and Repairs
- Free repair on items created by Maelstrom SeaWorks up to 5 years from purchase. Repair offer only applies to regular wear and tear, and minor damage (such as popped seams, loose parts, faded airbrushing, etc). MSW does not offer free refurbishment or upgrades.
- Client must communicate with MSW's studio to schedule repair- unapproved repair shipments will be returned to sender.
- Shipping cost must be covered by client (to and from MSW) in order for repair to be made.
- Extreme, rough, or unusual wear/damages are not covered by the 5 year repair period.Refund or Return
- MSW does not offer any Returns, Refunds, or Reimbursements outside of good faith situations in which MSW deems a mistake has been made and reimbursement to the client is appropriate &/or necessary. In-stock and custom items alike are sold as-is. Buyers are expected to scrutinize item details and photos to ensure they are content receiving the item.Usage Rights & Disclaimers
- MSW's work is to be used for non-profit, non-commercial (personal) purposes only.
- The artist is not responsible for any misuse of the provided costume or costume supplies, and shall not be liable for mishap or injury incurred from use of the product. Please take special care to stay safe while in costume or while working on your personal costume.
- MSW's products and work are not to be reproduced nor redistributed for any reason.
- MSW is not responsible for incompatibility of software with commissioned or purchased 3D files. It is expected that buyers or clients are willing to troubleshoot their own 3D modeling or 3D printing software. All files are designed with general workability and compatibility in mind, but it is not guaranteed.
